Thanks so much for visiting my website.  As you can guess, I love food and I love animals!  I’m on a mission to create delicious and easy recipes while nesting in the mountains of beautiful Park City, Utah with my husband and our sweet rescue pup, Bowie.   Most importantly, I try to keep most animal products out of the kitchen!  I’m originally from New England, where my beloved family resides and from them years of passed down Italian recipes have long been enjoyed.  I share many of these on this site, while also trying to re-create meatless versions.  Hope you enjoy!

Cooking Notes

Although I don’t mention it on the recipes, while I’m shopping I always try to buy organic and non-GMO.   Please keep in mind these 10 fruits and veggies below that are known to have the highest level of pesticides.  If you can’t always get organic, at least try to get these items as organic:

Apples, Strawberries, Grapes, Celery, Peaches, Spinach, Sweet Bell Peppers, Nectarines, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes

Coffee & Tea are also high on this list.

It’s worth doing some research on what exactly non-GMO means, to full understand the craziness that is going on with the food we eat.  I especially look for the non-GMO sticker on all tofu, edamame and soy milk.  Another nasty topic to research is carrageenan.  Make sure your almond milk and soy milks are free from this creeper!
